Today I attended the Randolario a Randonee about 200km around Lake Como.
In previous editions, which were conducted in April, the course provided a complete tour of the Lake with passage Valsassina. This year, given the advance in February and due to a landslide area in Varenna, the path has changed.
Leaving Malgrate (LC), passage from the lakes of Hanno and Pusiano, Grass, Albany, Como, the entire shore of Lake Como and, at the top, we continued to Morbegno, Talamona ... Lecco and then we went back to the same road (with a climb of over 2km Camnago Time after 193km away). the end, my Polar 221km marked with a vertical drop of just over 1300m.
Until the night before the weather does not bode good, we were resigned to take if rain nor snow ... but no great surprise this morning it was raining, the streets were dry and Como Talamona is also a weak sun came out.
The spirit of the Randonee is much more relaxed than that of the marathon, but even here there were groups in which travel at a good pace.
A 200km ride for more than eight consecutive hours you have time to think about many things ... not what you have and you would like to have, what you have and which too often is not appreciated enough, people who love you, the bike and all the beautiful emotions that living with her! And the tangle of thoughts that accompanied me throughout the week was a little unraveled!
